What Are
Dental Implants?

Dental implants are one option for replacing missing teeth, teeth that need to be removed, or several teeth at once, including full arch restoration. A small titanium post is placed into the jawbone, where it acts as an artificial tooth root. Over time it integrates with the bone and becomes a stable foundation for a custom-made replacement tooth, helping to support the surrounding structures.

Implants are not the right choice for everyone. Results depend on factors such as bone volume, gum health, general health and how well the area heals. During your consultation, we assess your individual circumstances and talk through the suitability, potential benefits, risks and alternatives, so you can decide what is right for you.

Dental Implant options

At Dental Implant Suite, we offer a range of implant treatment pathways for replacing missing teeth. Which one is right for you comes down to your individual circumstances, including your oral health, the amount of available bone, and what you would like treatment to achieve. We talk through each suitable option with you during your consultation.

01

Single Dental Implants

Single Dental Implants

When you’re only missing one tooth, a single dental implant may be worth considering. Treatment involves placing a small titanium post into the jawbone, where it serves as an artificial tooth root.

Once it has integrated with the bone, a custom-made crown is attached on top. The goal is a replacement tooth designed to look and function much like the one you’ve lost.

02

Implant Bridges and Multiple Dental Implants

Implant Bridges and Multiple Dental Implants

When several teeth in a row are missing, an implant bridge may be considered. Instead of one implant per tooth, a small number of titanium posts are placed in the jawbone to support a fixed bridge across the gap. Once integrated with the bone, the bridge is secured on top. The goal is replacement teeth that look and function much like your own.

03

Full arch dental implants

Full arch dental implants

When an entire row of teeth is missing or failing, full arch dental implants may be considered. Instead of replacing each tooth individually, a small number of implants are placed in the jawbone to support a full set of fixed replacement teeth. Once integrated with the bone, the new teeth are secured in place. The goal is a stable, natural-looking smile again comfortably.

04

Implant-supported dentures

Implant-supported dentures

Implant-supported dentures use a small number of dental implants to help keep the denture secure. Rather than relying only on the gums for support, the implants provide added stability during wear. The denture remains removable for cleaning and maintenance while offering a more comfortable and secure fit than a conventional denture, in place and can improve confidence when eating and speaking daily again.

05

All-on-4

All-on-4

All-on-4 is a treatment option for people missing most or all teeth in one arch. Rather than replacing each tooth individually, a small number of carefully positioned dental implants support a full set of fixed replacement teeth. At Dental Implant Suite, the Nobel Biocare implant system forms the foundation of the new arch. The aim is a secure, natural-looking smile that restores function.

Feature of Dental Implants

Function and comfort

Dental implants are designed to support everyday chewing and speech by replacing missing teeth in a way that works much like natural teeth. Because they are fixed in place, they do not rely on adhesives and may feel more stable than a removable denture for many patients.

Durability

With appropriate care and regular dental reviews, dental implants are intended as a long-term way to replace missing teeth. How long an implant lasts differs from person to person and depends on factors such as bone quality, oral hygiene and general health.

Appearance

Implants are planned with both function and appearance in mind. As part of treatment planning, the replacement crown or bridge is colour-matched to the surrounding teeth to help create a natural-looking result. Outcomes vary between individuals, and your dentist will talk through what is appropriate for your situation during your consultation.

FAQs

Common questions about All-On-4 Plus® treatment, suitability, and aftercare.

With good care and consistent hygiene, implants placed into the jawbone can last a lifetime, but they must have cleaned properly to avoid infection or failure. The teeth or prosthesis may need to be changed every 3-5 years sometimes longer, depending on your bite.
